Very important to remember during customer discovery when you present a potential solution to a confirmed problem and the customer starts to help you to improve it by criticizing it. While an eager embrace is the best outcome, it’s rare in the early going. Strong criticism means that the customer thinks you may be on the right track and with some improvement your solution is worth serious consideration.
